Day 1
Ha Giang City – Tam Son – Yen Minh – Dong Van Town

Route: Ha Giang City, Bac Sum Pass, Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Yen Minh Town, Hmong King’s Palace, Dong Van Town

Start from the Ha Giang Road Trip office or get picked up from your hotel or homestay in Ha Giang City. Leave the city and begin the mountain road towards the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark.

Stop at Bac Sum Pass, the first major pass leading into the geopark, then continue to Quan Ba Heaven Gate for panoramic mountain views. Ride towards Yen Minh Town for lunch, then continue to Sa Phin Village and visit the Hmong King’s Palace.

In the late afternoon, arrive in Dong Van Town, check in at the hotel or homestay, and enjoy free time around Dong Van Ancient Town before dinner.

After breakfast, leave Dong Van and ride towards Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most famous mountain passes in Vietnam. From the top of the pass, you can see the dramatic landscape around Tu San Canyon and the Nho Que River area.

Continue through Meo Vac Town and take the road back towards Yen Minh, with photo stops along the way. After lunch in Yen Minh, ride back towards Ha Giang City and visit Lung Tam Village, where you can learn about traditional Hmong hemp weaving.

The tour usually finishes at the Ha Giang Road Trip office in Ha Giang City around 17:30.
