Day 1: Ha Giang – Tam Son – Yen Minh – Dong Van(135km) 

 

Start from Ha Giang .head up to the happy road  stoping on Bac  Sum pass first mountains views, then keep going up to Quan Ba haven’s gate (1,500 meters) .  Then twin hills nature mountains, stop for lunch in Yen  Minh town, after lunch riding up to Tham  Ma pass, end then continue to  the h’mong king’s palace finally sleep in hostel  (private room included bathroom inside) in Dong Van town. 

 

Day 2. Dong van – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac Town. (60km)

 

After breakfast going up to top of the county Lung Cu the national flag pole, 

Back to Dong van town  then visit Ma Pi Leng pass ( the most beautiful pass in Viet Nam) doing lunch on the road after that doing the boat trip in Nho Que river..back to Meo Vac Town to stay.

Day 3: Meo Vac – Bao Lac – Cao Bang Province (160km) 

 

After breakfast we start driving and enjoy the landscapes along the way to Bao Lac and stop in Bao Lac (small town) for lunch. After lunch, we get on the road again until our next stop – the border between Vietnam and China. We’ll stop for pics along the way until we reach Cao Bang province

Day 4: Cao Bang – Trung Khanh – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave –  (120 km) 

 

After breakfast we get on the way around 09:00am and enjoy the beautiful views along the way and do some small stops on the way at local villages until we reach Ban Gioc Waterfall. We’ll arrive around noon at the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam. Ban Gioc belongs to 2 countries: Vietnam and China. Then we’ll stop for lunch. After lunch we’ll visit the amazing Nguom Ngao cave,  then check in the homestay near by there. 

 

Day 5:  Ban Gioc waterfall – Cao Bang – Ba Be Lake (170km)

 

After breakfast, we get on the road around 08:00am. We pass beautiful mountains and villages on the way to lunch at a local village. We’ll arrive in our accommodation for the night and check in. 

Day 6: Experience and Relax in Ba Be

 

We’ll go to visit the National Ba Be Park and Ba Be Lake in the afternoon. Enjoy the beautiful nature views with a variety of flora and fauna. 

Sleep: Local Homestay (Tay people) in Ba Be Lake 

 

Day 7:  Ba Be- Na Hang – Bac Quang – Ha Giang (240km) 

 

We start the loop at 08:00am after breakfast, we get back on the road, enjoying the amazing views along the way to Na Hang, we’ll make some stops along the way and continue until we stop at Bac Quang beautiful town for lunch. After lunch we continue to explore the views on the way until we reach Ha Giang. We finish the trip around 17:00pm.

 

(If you don’t want to come back to Ha Giang you can take the bus from Ba Be Lake back to Ha Noi in the same day)

We will visit Lenin Stream and Pac Bo before arrival to Khuoi Ky Old Stone Village. We’ll visit the day after at the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam. Stay in Yen Nhi Homestay in Khuoi Ky Village

Day 5: Yen Nhi Homestay – Tich Truc Lam Temple- Ban Gioc Waterfall – Angel Eye Mountain – Cao Bang (100km)

After breakfast, we get on the road around 08:00am. We pass beautiful mountains and villages on the way to lunch at a local village. We will visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, the largest and most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam located between Vietnam and China. Next, we will visit  Angel Eye Mountain and explore the grassland landscape on foot.

Stay in Hotel in Cao Bang City

Day 6: Cao Bang – Ba Be Lake – Homestay experience and relax in Ba Be (110km)

After breakfast, we get on the road around 08:00am with 100km to Ba Be Lake.

Relax time with a boat trip on Babe Lake – Finish in Homestay

You can choose to stay in Ba Be for 1 more night and return to Hanoi early the next morning, with 6 days tour, after arriving in Ba Be at noon, our tour guide group will return to Ha Giang on the same day.

Day : 0

* Ha Noi – Ha Giang city (300km)

The bus pick up from Ha Noi old quarter at (06 Hang muoi) around 7:45-8pm everynight.

The sleeping bus will leave Ha Noi and you will get to Ha Giang at 3:30am, check in stay at our place (Ha Giang Road Trip Hostel & tours) rest for few hours until the tour start at 8:30am.

Day: 1

* Ha Giang City – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van town (135km)

  • 8:00am : get breakffast at our hostel

From Hanoi to Ha Giang City (300km)

Car pick up from Hanoi Old Quarter at (06 Hang Muoi) at around 7:45-8pm every day.

The sleeper bus will leave Hanoi and you will arrive in Ha Giang at 3:30am, check in at our hostel Ha Giang Road Trip Hostel & Tours and rest for a few hours until the tour starts at 8:30am .

Day 1:

Ha Giang City – Quan Ba ​​– Yen Minh – Dong Van Town (135km)

8:00 am: Have breakfast at our hostel

8:30 a.m: The tour guide will meet and introduce the itinerary then depart Ha Giang Loop.

Day 2:

Dong Van town – Ma Pi Leng – Du Gia village (110km)

8:00am: Have breakfast in Dong Van town (on weekends visit Dong Van Flea Market)

Highlights of the day:

  • Ma Pi Leng Pass (One of the 4 most beautiful passes in Vietnam)
  • Pa Vi – Hmong ancient village on the way
  • Rest in Mau Due village

After lunch, get on your bike and go to Du Gia village

  • Check in to the homestay of the Tay ethnic in Du Gia village

Du Gia Village – Lung Tam Village – Ha Giang City (120km)

8:00am: Have breakfast at a local house with mountain view, enjoy the quiet natural space of the morning in the mountainous countryside of Northern Vietnam.

  • Visit Du Gia market (Saturday)
  • Duong Thuong View Point
  • Get lunch in Thai An village
  • Enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way from Thai An – Thuan Hoa – Ha Giang city

3:30pm: End of motorbike tour at our hostel  (Ha Giang Road Trip hostel & tour)

3:45-4pm: Limousine takes you back to Hanoi (there are also options to go to Sapa, Ninh Binh, Ha Long, Cat Ba)

10:30 pm: arrive in Hanoi Old Quarter, The bus will drop off at Hanoi Old Quarter (01 O Quan Chuong)

– 8:00am: We are starting form our office Ha Giang Road Trip Hostel & Tour or will pick up from your hotels/homestay around Ha Giang city, get 1,5-2hours hiking visit Thon Tha & Ha Thanh villages the 2 beautiful villages of Tay people, enjoy the swim in the waterfall in Ha Thanh village (if weather allow).

– 10-12pm: Starting on the motorbike riding, get to Minh Tan village (get lunch break in a local restaurant).

– 1:00pm: Hit the road enter into Dong Van Global Karst Plateau Geopark (the first Geopark in Vietnam. Seeing the Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Quan Ba Twin Mountains.

– 4:00 pm: Get to Lung Khuy Village drop the bikes get some walk for 1,2km to visit Lung Khuy Cave (the most beautiful cave inside the Geopark). 

– 5:30pm: Get on bikes ahead to Nam Dam village, check in the homestay of Red Dao people, get some rest long day in the peaceful village.

Day: 2

Tam Son – Lung Cu – Dong Van ( 135km )

– 8:30am: After breakfast get on the bike again 38km to Yen Minh, enjoying lanscape getting change, get on the top of the Can Ty pass.

– 10:30am: Stop for picture on the top of Lao Chai valley relax time with the great view to Terraces rice fields.

– 11-1pm: Driving though Yen Minh Town, get stop at some picture spots: Tham Ma Pass.. 

– 13:00pm: Arrive to Sa Phin village get lunch break in the village, after lunch get short visit Hmong King palace (Opium King palace).

– 14:30pm: Start driving to Northern most area of Vietnam near by the south of China. Clamb up to the Lung Cu National Flag Pole ( from the top you can have to view to China).

– 17:00pm: Get on the road back to Dong Van Town, check in the hotel in town, free walk around the Dong Van ancient town.

– 19:30pm Dinner time enjoy some local foods & finish the day with some homemade happy water.

Day 3:

Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng pass – Du Gia village (90km)

– 8:30am: Get breakfast in the town with the moutains views (will have chance to visit the bigest local market in Dong Van if you come on Sunday)

– 9:00am: Get on the bike again go of the town. 

– 11:30am: Back on the road to Ma Pi Leng pass (one of the four most beatifull pass of Vietnam).

– 13:00pm: Get the lunch break in Meo Vac town.

– 14:30pm: Get on the road again to get to Du Gia village, on the way to will stop at Sa Li pass, where you can have the Dao villages and rice tarraces from the top.

– 17:30pm: Arrival to Du Gia village checkin in the homestay of the Tay people, resting and enjoying the peaceful village.

– 19:30pm: Enjoy the family dinner & fall as sleep with some traditional music.

– 8:30am our guide will pick up from your hotels in Ha Giang city to start the loop.

Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng pass – Du Gia village (90km)

– 8:30am: get breakfast in the town with the moutains views {(will have chance to visit the bigest local market in Dong Van if you come on Sunday)}

– 9:00am: get on the road ahead to the beautiful pass called Ma-pi-leng pass top one of the four most beautiful pass of Vietnam

– 10:30am: get a short hiking on the Sky pass for 1,5 hour, where you can also have the view to the chinese mountains, 

– 12:00: stop on top the Ma Pi Leng pass where you can see Nho Que river, Tu San canyon which is the deepest canyon in Southeast  Asia.

– 1:15pm: get the lunch break in Meo Vac town

– 2:30pm – 5pm: get in the car again to get to Du Gia village, on the way to will stop at Sa Li pass where you can see the Dao village and rice tarraces from the top

– 5pm: get to the village checkin in the homestay of the Tay people, enjoy family dinner with the family fall as sleep with some happy weter. 🙂

Du Gia village  – Ha Giang city (120km)

– 8:30am have breakfast wiht the view to the rice fields  

– 9:00-10:30am get on the road again to get back to Ha Giang, on the way will go through some villages of the Hmong people 

– 11:30am arrive to Lung Tam village, will visit the place where you can learn how the Hmong people doing the Hemp weaving  

– 1:30 get lunch break in Tam Son town .

– 2:30 – 4;30pm 45km driving back to Ha Giang city, get to the city viewpoint where you can have the panoramic view to the city ( get the last bear after the tour wiht our team)

– 5:30pm: finish Ha Giang Loop 3 Days by Car at your hotel.

Day 1:

Ha Giang – Tam Son – Dong Van ( 135km )

– 8:30am: Our tour is starting form our office (Ha Giang Road Trip Hostel & Tour) or team will pick up from your hotels/homestay around Ha Giang city to start the famous Ha Giang loop.

– 9:00am: Getting out of the city. enjoying the moutains views and the peaceful villages

– 10:00am: entering into the Dong Van Global Karst Plateau Geopark (the first Geopark in Vietnam) stop at the top of the Bac Sum pass the first pass leading into the Geopark

– 11;00: Arrive to Quan Ba Heaven Gate the highest point in the day 1500m above from the sea level, get a break coffee with the great panoramic to the mountains.

– 12-13:30pm; Drive to Yen Minh Town, ejoying the moutains views along the way.

– 13;30pm: Get lunch break in Yen Minh town.

– 14;30pm: After lunch hit on the the road ahead to Sa Phin village, visit the Vuong ancient house ( Hmong King palace).

– 17:00pm: ahead to Dong Van town

– 18:00pm: checkin hotel/homestay in town, free walk aound Dong Van ancient town.

– 7:30pm: Dinner time, enjoy some local foods and finish the long day with some happy water

– 8:00: After breakfast get on the road again. 

– 9am: Drive to Ma-pi-Leng pass (one of the 4 most beautifull pass of Vietnam) from the top of the pass you can have the view to Tu San canyon ( deepest canyon in Southeast Asia)

– 10-12pm: Driving though Meo Vac Town, take on road back to Yen Minh town. enjoying the view along the way (few secret spot for picture on the way). 

– 13:30pm: Break lunch in Yen Minh town.

– 14:30pm: Get on the road  again ahead back to Ha Giang city, visit Lung Tam village on the way ( learning the ancient of doing Hemp Weaving from the Hmong people)

– 17:30pm: Back to Ha Giang city, finish Ha Giang Loop Motorbike Tour 2 Days at our office (Ha Giang Road Trip Hostel & Tour)
